From 4ed845d0db63606a939c3f075a110bee3ffd8f13 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Avi Halachmi (:avih)" Date: Tue, 14 Jul 2026 06:44:23 +0300 Subject: [PATCH] Makefile: restore doc targets Commit 44977b0 ("tcctest: restore & combine", 2026-05-06) effectively changed the run-if macro to "true" - i.e. don't run the command and don't report that it's skippped. As a result, all the doc targets were skippped quietly and unconditionally. Presumably it was a temporary in-development change - the commit message doesn't mention docs changes, and the doc targets still exist at Makefile, but this change was not reverted before the commit. Revert this specific change, which restores the automatic doc targets (build them only if the command to generate them exists). --- Makefile | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/Makefile b/Makefile index cd13adfb..9976cfed 100644 --- a/Makefile +++ b/Makefile @@ -336,7 +336,7 @@ FORCE: # some versions of gnu-make do not recognize 'command' as a shell builtin WHICH = sh -c 'command -v $1' -run-if = $(if $(shell $(call WHICH,$1x)),$S $1 $2,@true||echo "(skipping $@ - no $1)") +run-if = $(if $(shell $(call WHICH,$1)),$S $1 $2,echo "(skipping $@ - no $1)") S = $(if $(findstring yes,$(SILENT)),@$(info * $@)) # --------------------------------------------------------------------------
